Our ensembles

Lilac City Brass Inc was formed in 2024. It's aim is to revive Brass Bands in the Goulburn Community. We have a strong focus on inclusion, community and fun! Since its inception the band has gone from strength to strength and regularly performs at community events, festivals, shows and contests. The band is an Incorporated not-for-profit organisation and is funded through performance fees, membership fees ($120 per year) and community grants.

Lilac City Brass, formed in 2024, is our premier ensemble for brass players of all ages. We are a traditional brass band with a focus on entertainment and performance.

Performances include: Lilac City Festival, Steampunk, Vibefest, Bungonia Village Carols, Carols by Candlelight and more...

What's it all about

Music has a remarkable ability to unite people and uplift spirits. Lilac City Brass  provides an inclusive platform for musicians of all ages and skill levels to come together, share their love for music, and contribute to the cultural tapestry of our community.

Beyond the joy it brings to its members, Lilac City Brass also has a positive impact on our community as a whole. Through performances at local events, festivals, and community gatherings, the band serves as cultural ambassadors, showcasing the talent and creativity that thrives within our community.

We play a vital role in inspiring and engaging our youth. By offering music education programs, workshops, and performance opportunities, the band can nurture the next generation of musicians, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music and the arts.
